Our Story

Hi, I'm Peggy Orr — author, creator, and a firm believer that learning should feel like play.

Some of the best moments happen when a child slows down, picks up a crayon, and makes something all their own. That belief is at the heart of everything I do at Orr-dinary Fun. My path here took a few turns. I earned my PhD in applied linguistics, a field all about how we learn and use language, studying across two continents (US and Germany). For years I taught university courses in German language and culture courses at a US university, guiding students from their very first words to fluent, confident conversation. But what I saw work, again and again, was never the most complicated material; it was often well-scaffolded, playful activities that keep students motivated and make a learner feel curious, capable, and seen.

So that's what I make: coloring and activity books for kids that quietly build real skills — early vocabulary, observation, fine motor practice, and the words to name big feelings — all wrapped up in fun illustrations and characters like Pip and Mia who feel like friends. Whether your little explorer is two or nine, every page is designed to spark curiosity, engage busy minds, and bring a grown-up and child a little closer, one page at a time.

Welcome to Orr-dinary Fun. I'm so glad you're here.
